Located a few blocks from the 7 train on Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City lies a trendy and fairly new restaurant called Tutti Matti. There they offer authentic Italian dishes. This restaurant has become one of our favorites as everything we ordered tasted fresh and amazing.
We started off our dinner with the Salsiccia & Broccoli pizza which has Italian sausages with broccoli rabe, and mozzarella. What’s unique about this pizza is that it is cooked Almafi-coast style rather than the typical Neapolitan that New Yorkers are accustomed to. It is also cooked in a wood fire oven but in lower temps. so that the pizza is cooked evenly all around. We definitely tasted the difference and it was delicious!
Next on entrees, we ordered the Maccheroncini Dello Stretto which features their homemade pasta with Silician tuna, onions, tomatoes, and spicy (n’duja) calabrian sausage. The ingredients were very fresh and the pasta was stellar.
We also ordered the Costolette D’abbacchio which features a juicy & tender grilled organic lamb chops with broccoli rabe & potatoes.
After devouring all of these delicious dishes, we were absolutely satisfied and became a fan of Tutti Matti!
